Congressman Josh Brecheen has commented on President Trump’s executive order issued on July 7th concerning green energy policy. In his statement, Brecheen expressed support for the administration’s actions following recent legislative developments in Congress.

“So proud of President Trump’s Administration in working to fix American energy after the super majority of Americans and members of Congress felt betrayed by Murkowski slipping in a last-minute Senate provision in the OBBB specific to green energy. A major part of the hesitation on the OBBB when it came back to the House 48 hours later was due to Murkowski’s inserted change. A few days later, President Trump thankfully issued an executive order to address abuse specific to wind and solar projects.

This Administration is moving the ball forward in alignment with most Americans who are tired of watching their tax dollars subsidize projects that should stand on their own. This deficit driving activity is unfair as it takes from the many to give to the few. I am happy that the White House won’t take that for an answer!” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.

Josh Brecheen currently represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in Congress, having succeeded Markwayne Mullin in 2023. He previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018 and holds a degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University earned in 1997. Born in Ada, Oklahoma, Brecheen is now 43 years old and resides in Coalgate.
