Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently shared a series of statements on social media regarding legislative efforts, immigration enforcement, and economic growth.
On July 28, 2025, Brecheen posted about the role of the House Freedom Caucus within the Republican conference: “The House Freedom Caucus is holding feet to fire and pushing our Republican conference to bring forth the most conservative results possible. Grateful to work with other members of the @freedomcaucus to get things done!”
Two days later, on July 29, 2025, he commented on recent actions taken by President Biden and Secretary Noem regarding immigration enforcement: “Grateful to @POTUS and @Sec_Noem for their leadership removing dangerous illegal aliens from our country. These criminals have preyed on innocent Americans for far too long and are now being hunted by justice.”
On July 31, 2025, Brecheen addressed recent economic data: “America’s GDP grew by 3% during the past several months. This is a great indicator that the pre-COVID 2.8% average year over year growth rate we saw under President Trump’s first term is being rekindled.”
Josh Brecheen has represented Oklahoma’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate at age 43, Brecheen earned his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1997.
