Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing ongoing legislative developments and expressing appreciation for public service.

On October 10, 2025, Brecheen wrote, “.@HouseGOP did our job. Now we’re waiting on Senate Democrats to do theirs.” Later that day, he posted another message stating, “Thank you for your continued service!” On October 11, 2025, Brecheen referenced a government shutdown with the comment: “#SchumerShutdown Day 11”.

Josh Brecheen has represented Oklahoma’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. He previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate at age 43, Brecheen is an alumnus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1997.
