Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has taken to social media to share developments regarding his legislative efforts and collaborations with fellow lawmakers. The tweets focus on a newly reintroduced act, collaboration with other representatives, and provide additional reading material.
On June 18, 2025, Brecheen announced via Twitter that his office had reintroduced the “Patriotism Not Pride Act.” This act aims to prevent federal agencies from using taxpayer funds to promote Pride Month and prohibits the display of LGBT flags by these agencies on federal property. Brecheen emphasized this action in light of what he perceives as a cultural decline. He stated: “Our office just reintroduced the ‘Patriotism Not Pride Act,’ which would prohibit federal agencies from using taxpayer funds to promote Pride Month, while also prohibiting the display of LGBT flags by agencies on federal property.”
In another tweet posted on June 18, 2025, Brecheen expressed gratitude towards his cosponsors for their support of this initiative. The representatives acknowledged include Mary Miller, Glenn Grothman, Brandon Gill, Paul Gosar, Mike Collins, and Anna Paulina Luna. Brecheen conveyed his appreciation through Twitter: “Thank you to our cosponsors for your support: @RepMaryMiller, @RepGrothman, @RepBrandonGill, @RepGosar, @RepMikeCollins, and @RepLuna.”
Additionally, Brecheen provided a link to an article related to the legislative efforts discussed in his tweets. On June 18, 2025, he tweeted: “Read the article here: https://t.co/tqHyCbsqP2”
