Washington, D.C. – Congressman Josh Brecheen issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.J.Res 44, which would nullify the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional pistol brace rule and H.R. 1615, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act.

On H.J.Res 44: “The Biden-ATF pistol brace rule violates both the Second Amendment which states ‘the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed’ and Article I, Section I of the Constitution which states ‘All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.’ The rule also disrespects disabled veterans who rely on stabilizing support in order to safely exercise their Second Amendment rights. I was proud to vote in favor of Congressman Andrew Clyde’s resolution to nullify this rule and stand up for the Constitution, veterans, and law-abiding gun owners across the country.”

Congressman Brecheen also spoke at a press conference in support of nullifying the Biden-ATF pistol brace rule, which you can watch here.

On H.R. 1615: “It is as simple as this: our taxpayer dollars should not be used to regulate and ban gas stoves. The Biden Administration continues to cave to far-Left environmentalists at the expense of millions of Americans who rely on gas stoves to cook food every single day. Today, House Republicans fought back against this ridiculous overreach by the Biden Administration,” concluded Brecheen.
