Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on his official Twitter account, including condolences for a colleague, concerns about artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and support for agricultural legislation.

On January 6, 2026, Brecheen posted a message of sympathy following the passing of Rep. Doug LaMalfa: “May the Lord’s peace be with the family and friends of @RepLaMalfa during this difficult time. He was a good man!!”

The following day, January 7, he highlighted his involvement in a congressional hearing focused on national security threats posed by artificial intelligence: “Recently, @RepOgles and I co-chaired a @HomelandGOP hearing on the impacts of AI on cybersecurity. Congress must stand alert to the fact that Communist China is actively working to weaponize AI, and other emerging technologies, to harm America. We must work with the private”.

Later that same day, Brecheen voiced support for legislative efforts benefiting small-scale agriculture: “We must pass @RepThomasMassie’s PRIME Act, which I cosponsor. This legislation is a necessary step to support small ranches, slaughterhouses, and farms by granting a greater regulatory burden to the states than the federal government. Congress must stand up for our ranchers!”

Josh Brecheen has served as U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Before his tenure in Congress, he was an Oklahoma state senator from 2010 to 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (FACTS 1-4).
