Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on his official social media account on September 16, 2025.
In a post made at 16:44 UTC, Brecheen commented on attending a memorial event for Charlie Kirk in Statuary Hall. He wrote, “It was an honor to attend the memorial for Charlie Kirk in Statuary Hall last night. May the Lord continue to comfort his family! I’m praying for revival among hearts all across this nation.”
Later that day at 17:09 UTC, Brecheen addressed concerns about childhood vaccination requirements and public health. He stated, “Despite the CDC requiring children to receive over 30 vaccine doses by age five, America has become sicker than ever. Thank you, Secretary Kennedy, for working to restore health in America.”
In another update posted at 21:55 UTC following a Homeland Security Committee hearing on agroterrorism, Brecheen highlighted national security risks related to foreign ownership of American land. He said, “During today’s @HomelandGOP hearing on agroterrorism, I spoke with witnesses about the national security concerns that arise from allowing foreign nations to own American land. We must stop allowing foreign nations to purchase American land at the expense of American safety.”
Josh Brecheen has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate, Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997.
