Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared updates on his official social media regarding service academy nominations, a tribute to Dr. James Dobson, and upcoming town hall meetings.
On August 21, 2025, Brecheen addressed students interested in military service academies: “Students! Want to attend college and become a commissioned officer in the process? Our office is accepting Service Academy nomination requests from now until October 17th. Looking forward to reviewing your application! Later that day, he offered condolences following the passing of Dr. James Dobson: “My heart goes out to the family of Dr. James Dobson as they mourn his passing earlier today. May the peace and comfort of the Lord be with them! I had the honor of first encountering Dr. Dobson over 20 years ago in his support of Tom Coburn. I grew up listening to Dr. Dobson on” (August 21, 2025).
On August 22, Brecheen invited constituents to participate in a series of town halls across several Oklahoma towns: “Please join me on Monday for our town halls in McAlester, Checotah, Muskogee, Wagoner, and Bartlesville. For times and locations: https://t.co/pMr8T6gAqE https://t.co/28RQZGR5HG”.
