Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted several updates on his official social media account regarding upcoming town halls and his views on transportation safety.

On August 25, 2025, Brecheen announced a series of public meetings across northeastern Oklahoma, stating: “Looking forward to our Tuesday town halls in Nowata, Vinita, Miami, Grove, and Pryor! For times and locations: https://t.co/pMr8T6gAqE https://t.co/6bNK87FZGw”. The post provided constituents with information about the timing and venues for these events.

The following day, on August 26, 2025, Brecheen commented on an issue related to highway safety and foreign commercial drivers. He wrote: “Glad to see it! American lives should not be put on the line by foreign truckers. https://t.co/D6GWlO9O0Z”.

Josh Brecheen has served as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate at age 43, Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997.
