Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 16 and 17, 2025, criticizing the Biden Administration and nonprofit organizations involved in immigration issues.
On July 16, Brecheen wrote, “This is not news, it’s propaganda. Defund NPR and pass the rescissions package!”
Later that day, he posted about an opinion piece in the New York Post and referenced a congressional hearing: “Latest op-ed in @NYPost: How ‘charities’ funded by your tax dollars helped break immigration law—the topic of our important @homelandGOP hearing today. Open-borders NGOs & their Biden-Harris allies must be held accountable for the damage that was done!”
On July 17, Brecheen commented further on the subject: “It is despicable that the Biden Administration allowed NGOs to facilitate the abuse of children on American soil. Our @HomelandGOP hearing today focused on finding solutions to ending this NGO abuse.”
Josh Brecheen has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Markwayne Mullin. He previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate, Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1997.
