Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to comment on legislative initiatives and national policy issues.
On October 2, 2025, Brecheen posted about a legislative effort concerning language policy: “The English Language Unity Act, which our office co-authored with @RepMTG, declares English as the US’s official language and establishes a uniform English rule standard for immigrant naturalization. ‘We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.'”
Later that day, he addressed a recent decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: “The @US_FDA just approved the generic counterpart for mifepristone, the abortion pill. Abortion is one of the defining evils of our time, and we must acknowledge that it is murder in every form 1 in 10 women who take the abortion pill face serious complications, at a rate 22x” (October 2, 2025).
On October 3, 2025, Brecheen commented on ongoing government funding negotiations with a brief post: “#SchumerShutdown Day 3”.
Josh Brecheen has represented Oklahoma’s 2nd District since January 2023 after serving in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada in 1979 and currently residing in Coalgate, he graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997.
