Congressman Josh Brecheen, representing Oklahoma’s 2nd district since 2023, has been active on social media sharing updates on his recent activities and legislative decisions. Born in Ada, Oklahoma, Brecheen has a background in the Oklahoma Senate and holds a degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
On February 7, 2025, Congressman Brecheen shared that his office met with individuals involved in defense work at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. He emphasized the importance of their work for national security. “This week, our office met with those daily engaged in key defense work at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. The work they do is critical for America’s national security.”
Later that day, Brecheen expressed his support for the HALT Fentanyl Act by voting in favor of it. He highlighted its significance for law enforcement to combat fentanyl distribution and enhance public safety. “Proud to vote ‘YES’ on the HALT Fentanyl Act. This legislation gives law enforcement the tools they need to keep this dangerous drug off our streets and will save lives.”

He articulated his stance against policies that might restrict energy production in the United States. “I just voted for the Protecting American Energy Production Act which will prevent liberal administrations from hampering American energy production.”
