Congressman Josh Brecheen, representing Oklahoma’s 2nd district since 2023, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Brecheen, who succeeded Markwayne Mullin and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018, has expressed opinions on topics ranging from nutrition programs to international relations and government spending.

On March 5, 2025, Congressman Brecheen highlighted an op-ed in The American Conservative magazine regarding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). He encouraged his followers to read the piece titled “Must read op-ed in @amconmag: To Make America Healthy Again, Make SNAP Healthy”.

Later that day, Brecheen commented on President Zelenskyy’s actions concerning a minerals deal with the United States. He criticized Zelenskyy for targeting Vice President JD Vance instead of focusing on what he described as a mutually beneficial agreement. In his tweet, he stated that “President Zelenskyy…knew that this minerals deal was a good deal for both countries.”

In another post on March 5th, Brecheen addressed concerns about federal spending. He asserted that Washington’s financial practices have been irresponsible towards future generations. Highlighting former President Trump’s stance on fiscal responsibility, he tweeted “Washington’s spending addiction has gone on far too long without concern for our children and grandchildren.”
