Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, used his Twitter account on July 25 and July 27, 2025, to raise concerns about the political impact of illegal immigration on congressional representation.
In a tweet posted on July 25, Brecheen wrote: “This issue has to be front and center for reform!!! The left knows illegal immigration helps them win more congressional seats by unfairly increasing the census count and adding more Democratic seats, inflating urban numbers where liberal bias is greater.” The same day, he also shared a separate post containing only a link: “https://t.co/VmYTirwD5c”. On July 27, Brecheen tweeted another link without further commentary: “https://t.co/AeVI09oDxo”.
Josh Brecheen has served as the representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Before his tenure in Congress, Brecheen was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979, he currently resides in Coalgate and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
