Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on July 15, 2025, highlighting recent legislative actions and committee work.
In his first post of the day, Brecheen stated that “The One Big Beautiful Bill delivered big for middle America with the super majority of tax cuts going to those making under $50,000 per year. Without these tax cuts Oklahomans would have paid the price…literally!” (July 15, 2025).
Later that afternoon, he addressed federal budget issues: “The must-pass rescissions package strips over $9 billion from the federal budget by removing spending on:
wasteful green energy
anti-American DEI
biased broadcasting stations
LGBT indoctrination
Restore fiscal sanity, pass rescissions!” (July 15, 2025).
That evening, Brecheen described his role in a Homeland Security subcommittee hearing: “Today, I led a @HomelandGOP subcommittee hearing on Returning Parole to its Proper Purpose. Under the Biden Administration, the legal requirements for granting parole were erased, allowing approximately 3 million previously inadmissible individuals to be let into the U.S. as” (July 15, 2025).
Josh Brecheen has represented Oklahoma’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023 and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979 and currently resides in Coalgate. Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997.
