Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets referencing what he calls the “#SchumerShutdown” on November 1 and 2, 2025.
On November 1, Brecheen wrote: “#SchumerShutdown Day 32 https://t.co/4gB1DjihEa”. The following day, he continued with: “#SchumerShutdown Day 33 https://t.co/7BHYzcrzJD”. Later on November 2, Brecheen shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/0UlDzoH0hD”.
Josh Brecheen has served as the representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin. Before his tenure in Congress, Brecheen was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979 and currently resides in Coalgate. In addition to his political career, Brecheen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, earned in 1997.
