Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on March 23 and 24, 2026, expressing concerns about radical Islam and emphasizing vigilance regarding national security.

On March 23, Brecheen stated: “Radical Islam is an ideology completely at odds with our Republic. The “death to America” chants should not be dismissed with indifference. We must keep Sharia out of our jurisdictions!!!”

The following day, on March 24, he shared a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/Tp7mBcuLod”. Later that same day, Brecheen added: “We must remain vigilant.”

Josh Brecheen has served as the representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd district since 2023, succeeding Markwayne Mullin. He previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979, Brecheen currently resides in Coalgate and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
