Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 13, 2025, referencing what he termed the “#SchumerShutdown” and sharing related links.
In a tweet posted at 14:38 UTC, Brecheen wrote: “#SchumerShutdown Day 13 https://t.co/lCxse6zflI”. Later that day, at 18:37 UTC, he shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/DhYnz4xZc7”. His final tweet of the day at 21:53 UTC also consisted solely of a hyperlink: “https://t.co/7p2R0GMTmV”.
Brecheen has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin as the representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd District. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma, in 1979, Brecheen currently resides in Coalgate and is an alumnus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997.
