Congressman Josh Brecheen, who represents Oklahoma’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently expressed gratitude to constituents for their participation in a series of town hall meetings across southeastern Oklahoma.
On August 30, 2025, Brecheen posted on social media about his engagement with residents in Hugo: “It was a blessing to speak with everyone during our Hugo town hall!” The following day, he acknowledged attendees at another event: “Shout out to everyone who attended our Atoka town hall!” Later that same day, he shared appreciation for Durant constituents: “Grateful for all the constituents from Durant who attended our town hall this week! It was an honor to speak with you.”
These posts highlight Brecheen’s ongoing efforts to connect with residents throughout his district. Since assuming office in 2023 after succeeding Markwayne Mullin, Brecheen has emphasized constituent outreach as part of his role representing Oklahoma’s 2nd District in Congress. He previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018 and is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Born in Ada and currently residing in Coalgate, Brecheen continues to maintain close ties within the region he serves.
