#2 Men’s Basketball traveled to York, Nebraska January 11th for a KCAC match-up with the York University Panthers. Looking to improve to 17-1 on the season and remain undefeated in conference play, the Eagles rose above and competed fearlessly.

Defeating the Panthers 88-78, the Eagles did just that.

Ending the first half of the game with only a 5-point lead over the Panthers, the Eagles came back ready to fight throughout the second.

Leading the Eagles throughout the entirety of the night was Derrick Talton Jr. Having himself a night on both sides of the ball, Talton Jr. outdid himself and scored 28 points in his 36 minutes of play. Along with scoring 28 points, Talton Jr. accumulated 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and shot 100% from beyond the arc.

Following Talton Jr., Jaden Lietzke scored 16 points, 9 rebounds, and went 7-11 in field goal makes.

The Eagles outshot the Panthers 51.4% to 40.8% in FGM-A and outrebounded them 50-38.
