OVERVIEW
With the conclusion of season, the KCAC announced the All-KCAC awards for the women’s basketball 2022-2023 season!
On the list, two of the ladies on the OKWU women’s basketball team were honored as All-KCAC Honorable Mention: Zariah Tillman & Sydnee Schovanec.
HIGHLIGHTS
Zariah Tillman | SO | Richmond, Texas
Tillman was named to the All-KCAC Honorable Mention team as a sophomore for the Lady Eagles after an excellent year on the court.
She started 15 of the 22 conference games for the Lady Eagles and accumulated the following stats throughout conference play:
- Played 608 minutes
- Averaged 33.8 minutes per game
- 47% field goal percentage
- 87 rebounds
- Averaged 11.2 points per game
- 202 points in conference play.
This was the second year in a row that Tillman was recognized on an All-KCAC team and we are excited to see here back on the court for the 23-24 season for the Lady Eagles.
Sydnee Schovanec | SR | Bixby, Oklahoma
Schovanec was named to the All-KCAC Honorable Mention team as a senior for the Lady Eagles after a team leading performance all year for the Lady Eagles.
After starting every game through conference play for the Lady Eagles, Schovanec proved to be a driving force for the team and was consistent on the court through the entirety of the season. The following are the stats she accumulated throughout this conference season:
- Played 676 minutes
- Averaged 32.2 minutes per game
- 35.8 field goal percentage
- 128 rebounds
- 222 points in conference play
- Averaged 10.6 points per game
This was Schovanec’s first appearance in the All-KCAC standing and she will be missed on the court for the Lady Eagles next season.
