Rogers State men's and women's track and field competed in the Crimson and Gold Invitational on Saturday to open the 2022 indoor track and field season.
In the women's 5,000m run, Madison Bradshaw led RSU in fourth place with a new school record time of 17:41.09. Her mark surpasses the previous record of 17:57.84 set by Brianna DeAngelis last season. DeAngelis finished in sixth place with a new personal best time of 17:43.88. Tori Wood finished in 12th with a new personal best time of 18:05.57. Katie Byrd finished 14th with a new personal best time of 18:10.84. Riley Coleman finished 23rd with a time of 18:59.44.
In the women's 60m dash, Lili Joseph finished with a time of 8.43.
In the women's mile, Sara Crosley finished with a time of 6:12.36.
In the women's 300m dash, Rita Ojene finished with a time of 45.40. Jayden Lazarri finished with a time of 45.55.
In the women's 400m dash, Jocelyn Turney finished with a time of 1:02.96.
In the women's 3,000m run, Madison Bradshaw led RSU in 15th place with a time of 10:28.54. Brianna DeAngelis finished 18th with a time of 10:35.97. Elena Fries finished 20th with a new personal best time of 10:41.77. Ashley Riggenbach finished 25th with a time of 10:53.89. Ronnie Jones finished 28th with a time of 11:21.31. Elizabeth Ostermaier finished with a time of 13:14.17.
In the men's 5,000m run, Julius Oheim led RSU with a 13th place finish in 14:57.65. Blake Feron finished in 19th with a time of 15:09.61.
In the men's mile, Carlos Vallejo led RSU in fourth place with a time of 4:22.52. Jon Biersdorfer finished in eighth with a time of 4:25.36. Collin McHugh finished in 25th with a new personal best time of 4:30.80. Nathan Hernandez finished with a time of 4:34.01. Ty Rupert finished with a time of 4:44.93.
In the men's 300m dash, Phillip Owens led RSU with a time of 36.13. Mikehl Marion finished with a time of 36.49. Mason Prince finished with a time of 37.25.
In the men's 600 yard run, Jayden Newkirk finished in 19th with a new personal best time of 1:23.02.
In the men's 800m run, Dawson Crawley finished with a time of 2:09.06.
In the men's 4x400m relay, the team of Phillip Owens, Mikehl Marion, Mason Prince and Dawson Crawley finished in 18th with a time of 3:28.52. The team of Carlos Vallejo, Blake Feron, Jayden Newkirk and Ian Busking finished with a time of 3:35.44.
In the men's 3,000m run, Jon Biersdorfer led RSU in ninth place with a time of 8:58.38. Collin McHugh finished in 19th with a time of 9:24.18. Blaine Phillippi finished in 23rd with a time of 9:34.86. Joseph White finished in 27th with a time of 9:41.54. Morne Scharnick finished in 28th with a time of 9:48.19.
This was the Hillcats only meet before the Christmas Break. They will return to action on Friday, Jan. 20 as they travel back to Pittsburg, Kan. for the Rumble in the Jungle Invitational.
