Rogers State softball remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Still receiving all 16 first place votes, the Hillcats rank ahead of two other MIAA schools including No. 6 Central Oklahoma and No. 18 Washburn. Three other Central Region teams were featured in the poll, including No. 13 Harding and No. 14 Southern Arkansas as well as Oklahoma Baptist, who received votes.
The Hillcats went 6-0 last week at The Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. In total the Hillcats only allowed four runs across the six games. In the 24-3 win over Tiffin, RSU broke the school record for most runs in a single game and most runs in a single inning (15), besting the previous record of 21 runs against Arkansas-Monticello on Feb. 9, 2020.
