The University of Tulsa softball program has signed former Broken Arrow High School standout Maci Cole to a national letter-of-intent, Golden Hurricane Head Coach Crissy Strimple.

"We are excited to have Maci come home and be a part of our team to finish her career," Strimple said. "She impressed us this fall with her tough play, and she showed she's a versatile athlete whose skills translate to multiple positions. I know Tulsa fans will enjoy seeing another local talent return home."

Cole, a 5'3" catcher and infielder from Broken Arrow, Okla., will transfer from Cowley County Community College in the fall. As a freshman, Cole was an NJCAA Division II All-American and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Freshman of the Year in 2022. She registered a .486 batting average with 20 doubles, 14 home runs and 62 RBI in helping the Lady Tigers post a 38-14 record. Cole added six triples and 27 stolen bases.

Through 19 games this season, Cole has a .455 batting average and .803 slugging percentage with 30 hits, 14 RBI and five home runs.

In her prep career, Cole played second, third and catcher at Broken Arrow High School. A four-year starter, Cole batted .361 with 10 home runs and 146 RBI, while helping the Lady Tigers reach three district and regional Championships. In her junior season, Broken Arrow posted a 38-3 record.
