Congressman Josh Brecheen, representing Oklahoma's 2nd district since 2023, recently shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Brecheen, who succeeded Markwayne Mullin in Congress and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018, addressed topics ranging from nominations to fiscal policies.
On February 4, 2025, Congressman Brecheen expressed approval of the Senate Finance Committee's decision regarding RFK Jr.'s nomination. He stated: "Glad to see that the Senate Finance Committee just voted to advance RFK Jr.’s nomination to a full Senate vote. We need RFK Jr. confirmed! Make America Healthy Again."
Later that day, Brecheen supported RFK Jr.'s stance on SNAP benefits reform. He tweeted: "RFK Jr. is right! We shouldn’t be spending 10% of SNAP benefits on sugary drinks. Our Healthy SNAP Act would bring much needed reform." This tweet highlights his advocacy for changes in the allocation of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds.
In another post on February 4, he criticized government spending practices by stating: "It’s outrageous that taxpayer dollars were funding all of these leftist pet projects. This is why DOGE is so critical in rooting out wasteful spending." Here, Brecheen emphasized the importance of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in eliminating unnecessary expenditures.
