Josh Brecheen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Oklahoma's 2nd district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. He succeeded Markwayne Mullin in 2023 and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma, Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
On March 13, 2025, Brecheen addressed Medicaid fraud via a tweet stating "Medicaid fraud must be addressed."
Later that day, he criticized certain Democrats and media outlets regarding the continuing resolution (CR), posting "Some Democrats are repeating lies about the CR, and any media outlets parroting these lies erode their own following. Facts matter!"
In another post on the same day, Brecheen expressed his views on foreign students in the United States who support terrorist organizations or engage in anti-American rhetoric. He stated that such individuals should be deported to protect national security interests: "Foreign students here on green cards or visas studying at our universities should be deported if they are supporting terrorist organizations like Hamas or spewing anti-American rhetoric. This is a matter of protecting Americans and our national security interests."
