University of Tulsa Golfers Finish in 13th Place at the ICON Invitational

The Tulsa women’s golf team finished in 13th place at the ICON Invitational on Tuesday as the Hurricane shot a final round 295 for a 54-hole total of 874 on the par-72 Golf Club of Houston course.
 
Senior Lilly Thomas placed 20th overall with a 3-under par score of 213 after turning in a round of 75 on Tuesday. Freshman Grace Kilcrease was next for the Hurricane after today’s round of 74 gave her a 54-hole total of 2-over par 218 for 48th place.
 
Sophomore Sydney Seigel turned in her best round of the tournament and the top final round for the Hurricane with a 1-under par 71. She finished the tournament at 3-over par 219 to place 51st overall. Fellow sophomore Lovisa Gunnar placed 70th with a 225 total and freshman Jenni Roller finished with a score of 227 for 78th place.
 
The nation’s 10th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies captured the team title with a 34-under par score of 830, 10 strokes better than second-place North Texas (840). A&M’s Zoe Slaughter claimed individual medalist honors with an 18-under par score of 198.
 
Tulsa will be in action next at the Trinity Forest Invitational, March 6-7, at the Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.
