Congressman Josh Brecheen, representing Oklahoma's 2nd district since 2023, recently shared his views on social media regarding various political and religious matters. His statements reflect his perspectives on the use of religious platforms for political purposes, support for a Christian mission, and concerns about legal proceedings related to January 6 detainees.
On January 22, 2025, Congressman Brecheen expressed dissatisfaction with a prayer service he attended. He stated that he "purposely left the prayer service early after realizing how the pulpit was being used for liberal means and not for true worship unto God and to seek His will and wisdom." Addressing President Biden directly, he added, "Mr. President … what accosted you today was political, not Biblical."
Later that day, Brecheen praised Sean Feucht's efforts in spreading the gospel. He tweeted about Feucht’s impact on people and urged continued prayers for national enlightenment: ".@SeanFeucht’s boldness for Christ and mission to spread the gospel is impacting so many people. May we continue to pray that God will expose the darkness in our nation and bring the truth to light!"
In another tweet posted on January 22, 2025, Brecheen addressed issues concerning individuals detained in connection with events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. He noted that some detainees remain held despite pardons from former President Trump: "Just got word that they are still holding J6ers in the DC jail who were pardoned by President Trump. Several of us went to the DC Detention Center yesterday, saying that the Rule of Law is being ignored when a judge or jail sets itself above a CONSTITUTIONAL power and decision."
