Congressman Josh Brecheen, representing Oklahoma's 2nd district, shared several messages on social media reflecting his political stance and promoting local initiatives. Brecheen, who succeeded Markwayne Mullin in Congress in 2023, previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma, he currently resides in Coalgate and holds a degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
On March 5, 2025, Congressman Brecheen posted a statement expressing support for President Trump and opposition to certain gender ideologies: "The days of pushing leftist gender ideology are over with President Trump back in office! Every child is made in the image of God!"
Later that day, Brecheen encouraged students from his district to participate in an art competition. He wrote: "All students in Grades 9-12 in Oklahoma’s 2nd District are encouraged to submit their work for the 2025 Art Competition! The 2025 theme for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District is: 'America: Out of Many, One'".
In another post on the same day, Brecheen addressed concerns about Medicaid growth under previous administrations: "Since 2012, our population has grown by 6%, while the Medicaid population has grown by 60%! The able-bodied are now the largest subgroup on Medicaid, thanks to the Obama and Biden Administrations turning this program into socialized healthcare."
