Josh Brecheen addresses constituents on preservation and recognition efforts in tweets

In a series of tweets, Congressman Josh Brecheen, who serves Oklahoma's 2nd district, addressed various local and national matters. He expressed his commitment to preserving historical symbols and highlighted his accomplishments and recognition for his work in Congress.

On April 10, 2025, Congressman Brecheen lauded efforts to preserve the USS Batfish, recognizing its significance to veterans in Oklahoma. He remarked, "The American values that have shaped our nation can be seen through the USS Batfish. This is a historic symbol for our veterans in Oklahoma. I applaud the efforts of the citizens and local officials working to ensure its preservation for future generations."

Later that day, Brecheen expressed satisfaction over receiving recognition from Family Research Council Action for his voting record. He stated, "I’m honored to receive @FRCAction’s 100 Percent Award for my pro-faith, pro-family, and pro-freedom voting record! Huge thanks to @tperkins and @JodyHice for presenting me with this award."

Josh Brecheen is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Oklahoma’s 2nd district. He succeeded Markwayne Mullin in 2023. He previously represented the district in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. Born in Ada, Oklahoma in 1979, Brecheen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1997 and lives in Coalgate.
